"Jon was amazing with my pup. The classes were really fun. I greatly appreciated the large space he uses, especially because my puppy is easily distracted. I’ve been to other dog training classes in smaller spaces that use dividers to separate the dogs. These spaces felt stressful for me and my pup (a different pup). It felt like too much energy was being channeled towards keeping the dogs separate and “calm”. It took away from the learning. Jon has a really great attitude towards the puppies and doesn’t expect them to be perfectly calm and quiet throughout. Instead he lets the puppies be puppies and we would just spread out. As the classes progressed my dog learned how to focus on me when needed and ignore the other pups while we were working. After the 6 week class my dog knows sit, down, off, drop it and touch. She has way better focus, is pretty great on a leash and has perfect recall (I may just be lucky with that last one, but I think Jon helped me hone her natural talents). She’s only 4 months old and I can’t believe how much she knows already. Jon has a great balance somewhere between accepting the natural chaos of puppies and obedience when needed. I’m planning to do the next class m, when it is offered, and I’m really excited to see how Sghetti matures into a happy well behaved dog. She’s very much on her way already, and this class is enough to get by if you just want the basics."
